Portion Of I-75 Near Dalton Closed Monday Night

  • Friday, December 16, 2016

Department of Transportation officials said the construction project to build a new bridge at the Carbondale Road exit on I-75 (Exit 326, south of Dalton) will require a detour on Monday night.

The construction crew will be placing beams over the southbound lanes starting at 10 p.m. on Monday and expect the work to take four hours to complete.

During that time, southbound traffic will be routed up and over the exit ramps at Exit 326. There will also be two lanes closed on the northbound side of I-75 during this time.

Anyone planning to travel I-75 south during that time might want to consider an alternate route.
