Painting And Pottery Exhibit At MACC

A “Painting and Pottery” exhibit, presented by MACC students and mentors, is slated for Jan. 6-27 at the Mountain Arts Community Center, 809 Kentucky Ave. in Signal Mountain.  The show and sale features original art work.
 
An opening reception will be held on Jan. 6 from 5-7 p.m.
 
"It is becoming an annual tradition to offer the community a peek into the MACC art and pottery classes.  Original works of students will be on display in Gallery 5 at the MACC during the month of January.
 
"During the First Friday reception on Jan. 6, art and pottery techniques will be demonstrated by instructors Val Gibson and Lolly Durant, and many pieces on exhibit will be available for purchase," officials said.

New art and pottery classes begin Jan. 10.
 
Gallery 5 is open during regular MACC hours, Monday-Thursday from  9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
