Joyce Gordon
Joyce Ann Gordon, 65, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in a local hospital.
She was previously employed with Chambliss Children’s Home as a teacher’s aid.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson Walker and Louvenia Patillo Walker; husband, Ricky Lamar Gordon; and brother Ricky Lee Walker.
Survivors include her daughters, Deirdre Walker, Calandra Walker, Cornelia Walker, and JoAnn Walker; grandchildren, Zinnetta Reeves, Sharquell Allen, Kash Mone Marlin, Thaddeus Allen, Antonio Marlin, and Brooklyn Johnson, all of Chattanooga; seven great-grandchildren; brother, William Larry Walker, New York, NY; dear cousin, Leonard Gaston, Sr., Atlanta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow at noon with Bishop Alonzo Rogers as eulogist. Burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
