Eleanor Young
Eleanor B. Young, 87, passed away on December 4, 2016 in a local hospital.
She was a graduate of Howard High School and had retired from Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 364. She was a member of New Monumental Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Limmie Burton and Alma Smith; husband, William Young; brother, Allen Burton.
Survivors include her, stepson, Roland (Theresa) Young; brothers, Arch Burton and Jimmy Harris, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Doris Burton, Kansas City, MO; Rochelle Kidd, Cylacauga, Al., and Mary Alice Jordan Chattanooga.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at New Monumental Baptist Church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, Dec. 12, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
