Claus For A Cause At Pie Slingers Pizzeria Is Dec. 13

  • Monday, December 5, 2016

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host the third annual “Christmas Claus for a Cause” December luncheon to celebrate the holiday season while giving back to the students of Walker County.

Each year the board chair designates a charity to support during this event, and for this year, Chair P R. Cook has selected Backpack Blessings.  Backpack Blessings provides Walker County students with free, non-perishable food items each Friday to reduce weekend hunger and help prepare for Monday’s learning in the classroom.

The luncheon will take place at Pie Slinger’s Pizzeria on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Pie Slingers will be donating 10 percent of a lunch purchase to this organization from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be pizza, lasagna and salad bar, including drink and dessert, set up especially for the Chamber attendees at a cost of $12 per person to be paid at the door.

Reservations are required to attend.
