King, Gladys Mae (Cleveland)

Gladys Mae King, 71, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016.

She was born on May 21, 1945 to the late Stirl and Jewell Forgey. Gladys was a lifelong resident of this area and was always very family oriented. She loved art and painting, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was also preceded in death by an infant twin son, Dale King; and several siblings. 

She is survived by three sons, Doyle King (Rebecca), Wayne King (Leslie), and Chris King (Lisa); two brothers Charlie Forgey and Dean Forgey; two sisters Pauline “Frances” Centers and Shirley Martin; grandchildren, Shae Crackel, Christian Stephens, Talisa King, Taylor King, Whitney King, Tanner King, Caylee King, Shane Swafford, Jeanna King and Corey Hindman; great-grandchildren, Kadence Crackel, Rylan Stephens, Briley Hindman and Tinley King.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 8 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-7 p.m. service time. 

Companion Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
