An arrest has been made in one of three shootings that occurred on Tuesday in Chattanooga.
A police K9 had to be employed to take Gareak Dewayne Lopopolo, 19, into custody.
He was charged with shooting 22-year-old Chase Gibson during a robbery.
Chattanooga Police Fugitive Division and Intelligence Division officers in concert with U.S. marshals executed the arrest.
Lopopolo was found in the Kings Lodge motel.
He tried to resist and to flee.
A K9 officer was able to apprehend Lopopolo and gain compliance through the use of his K9, Ducco.
Lopopolo was treated at Erlanger Hospital for minor injuries and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
He was arrested on charges of especially aggravated assault, aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
