Quit Romanticizing And Validating Illegals

  • Thursday, December 8, 2016

There is more and more in the news these days regarding the so-called "dreamers" which consist of children of illegal immigrants (many of whom are not children but actually adult age illegals). This conversation comes as focus is placed on the immigration views and policies expressed by President-elect Trump.

I think it is high-time that we seriously looked at the issues and economic pressures this group brings. For one, we need to knock it off with the "dreamer" moniker which is an attempt to romanticize and validate their illegality. They should indeed be called "interlopers" or "cheaters" more appropriately. Has a different ring doesn't it?

Let's get truthful and stop sanctioning and promoting values not consistent with our country's character. We are a nation of laws.
