Adam Sheard of Speed Deluxe Vintage and Bespoke Motorcycles built a BSA flat tracker motorcycle for an invitational bike build-off held by Deus Motorcycles in Venice Beach, Ca. He made the frame from chromoly and hand-formed the gas tank, oil tank, and seat pan/tail piece from sheet aluminum.
The bike won Best Race Bike at the build-off, and the build process and its first time around a flat track has been documented in the current issue of Sideburn magazine, a publication dedicated to flat track racing that is based in England, but with international readership.
A magazine release party celebrating the win at the build-off and the magazine article is being held at Speed Deluxe, 515 Cherokee Blvd, this Sunday at 3 p.m. with food, drinks, and live music.
