Evelyn Dobbins Roberts, 93, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Thursday, December 8, 2016.
She was born in Valley Head, Al., but spent her adult life in Hixson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Roberts, and her daughter, Willodean Head, of Wilmington, De.
She will be greatly missed by her eight children and their spouses: Inez (Ed) Simons, of Chattanooga, Imogean (Gene) Hetzler, of Chattanooga, Larry (Janice) Dobbins, of Hixson, Don Dobbins, of Hixson, Lynn (Bill) Blazyk, of Hixson, Ricky (Joyce) Dobbins, of Ooltewah, Steve Dobbins, of Hixson, Janet (Tony) Pack, of Soddy Daisy and son-in-law, Bruce Head, of Wilmington, Delaware. Also, her nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm. on Sunday, Dec. 11, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Brady Wood officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1–2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Evelyn’s name to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 7634 Gann Rd., Hixson, Tn. 37343.
