Served As A Navigator On A B-24 Bomber During World War II

George “Grumpy” Richard Van Natten, 91, peacefully passed on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. 

He proudly served in World War II as a navigator on a B-24 bomber in Italy.

Grumpy is survived by his loving wife, Frances, daughter, Donna Van Natten, and grandchildren, Evan Stichler, Jarrett Stichler, and Jillian Van Natten.

Memorial donations may be made in Grumpy’s name to the Collings Foundation (B-24) or Hospice of Chattanooga.

Military funeral services will be held at the National Cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m.

A reception will follow for family and friends at his daughter’s home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services.
