Two-time defending TSSAA D-II state wrestling duals champion Baylor and 2015 state runner-up Father Ryan are the top seeds for the eight-team tournament this weekend at the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin.
Baylor, which is the Middle/East Region champ, has won nine state duals titles, including five in the last eight years, while West Region champ Ryan has claimed seven state titles the last coming in 2010. Ryan won the initial state duals in 1988.
Ryan, the state’s top-ranked team beat No.3 Baylor last week, 46-20, and also beat the Red Raiders, 34-23, in the Cleveland Duals in December.
