La Paz Chattanooga En La Mesa Luncheon Set For Feb. 22

The next La Paz Chattanooga En La Mesa Luncheon will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, at noon at the Edney Building. The topic for this En La Mesa luncheon is higher education accessibility for Latinos.

During this luncheon, a panel of representatives will share about their knowledge and experience dealing directly with this subject.  

The panelists include: 

Camila Fyler, integration director for the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition 

Yancy Freeman, assistant provost of Enrollment Services at UTC 

Ruben Covarrubias, associate director of Enrollment at Southern Adventist University 

Mike Ricketts, dean of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Chattanooga State Community College  

Layra Navarro-Flores, student and president of The UTC HOLA student group 

Moises Rodriguez, a local high school student and DACA recipient 

Chick-fil-A at Brainerd Village is providing the meal at this En La Mesa luncheon.  Registration is required.  Cost is $15 per person.
