Louise Cohen, 86, loved mother, grandmother and sister, died on February 8, 2016.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, to Samuel and Sarah Dubin and lived most of her life there and in other parts of southeast Pennsylvania. She moved to Signal Mountain, in 2011 to reside at Alexian Village with her husband, Leonard Cohen, who died that same year.
She was predeceased by her son, Alan Cohen.
She is survived by her son, Bob Cohen (Capi) of Ooltewah; two grandchildren, Matthew Cohen (Christine) of Andover, NJ, and Rachel Cohen of Winter Park, FL; two great grandchildren; and her sister, Bernice “Dubie” Brown, of Chappaqua, NY.
Donations may be made in her memory to Alexian Village of Tennessee, 437 Alexian Way, Signal Mountain, TN 37377 and should be designated for the Mary Jane Spittler Health Care Scholarship Fund, a fund which grants scholarships to those who are pursuing nursing education.
