Randy Johnston Is The Right Choice - And Response (2)

  • Friday, February 12, 2016

Randy Johnston is the right man for Hamilton County Assessor of Property.  His 31 years of continuous service have been invaluable and his drive and resolve are just a few attributes that have placed him in his current position of residential property supervisor.  His experience gives him extensive knowledge of the office, more so than any other candidate on the ballot.

Randy’s acumen affords certain opportunities for the office that only he can implement.  He has the trust of his fellow employees and he is deeply interested in helping them further their careers within the office.  It doesn’t matter how many resources you have, if you don’t use them wisely it will never be enough.  Randy sees value in people and he has the ability to use their talents wisely.

Randy wants to ensure that the Assessor’s Office runs smoothly through continuity of operations and creating an optimal work environment for all employees.  These techniques will gain efficiency in the office and ultimately lead to a more user friendly Assessor’s Office due to a committed staff that Randy will cultivate to better serve you.  This is a big advantage that will work to benefit not only employees, but more importantly the property owner in Hamilton County.

Randy’s dedication and loyalty to the office is evident and it will pervade to the property owners as well.  He will always be available and empathetic to any and all concerns of each and every property owner.  Randy understands that the Assessor’s Office revolves around tax dollars, but he also understands that it is your property tax dollars that run the Assessor’s Office and that only transparency and responsibility will develop trust with you.

Randy cares about this community and the Assessor’s Office because he is a home and business owner in Hamilton County.  Randy does not boast about it, but in 2011 he volunteered a truck and laborers to help pick up tires that were being illegally dumped into Chattanooga Creek in the Alton Park area.  Not only did he donate resources to recover the illegally dumped tires, he paid to dispose of the tires legally. It should also be noted that this was an area that was not in the neighborhood of his business or his house.  It was an area inside Hamilton County and Randy was willing to help, so he did.  He did it in an effort to make Hamilton County better.

He understands the trials and tribulations that property owners face because he is a property owner with the same worries and concerns as you.  He truly believes he can better property owner’s rights and values in this county through a better Assessor’s Office.  Randy has so much more to offer than I could possibly articulate in this opinion piece, so please, reach out to Randy and research the person I know.  Look deeper and I believe you will vote for Randy, not because he is the better choice, but because he is the right choice.

This past Wednesday, early voting began in Hamilton County and I can tell you who I cast my vote for...Randy Johnston.

I have known Randy for 29 years and I know his family very well. When I see letters to the editor that make off the cuff remarks about the integrity and character of Randy Johnston, I have to question where they are getting their information about him because he is truly a man of character and integrity.

Many years ago, he was my softball coach at Camp Jordan and the same dedication he gave to our team is the same dedication he has for his family, and the same dedication to his job.

For 31 years, he has worked in the office he is seeking, and those years are solid, full-time years of working on behalf of the people of Hamilton County. Make no mistake, you can't argue with the facts of experience which is why I am voting for Randy Johnston for Hamilton County Assessor of Property. He is truly the candidate with the experience that matters.

There are three fine men running for Hamilton County Assessor of Property. After attending several debates and listening to all the candidates my vote clearly goes to Randy Johnston.

Randy Jonhston shows leadership, experience ,and knowledge of the job required.  He has 31 years of working in the assessors office far more than the other candidates. He is a candidate who loves his job and wants to serve the people of Hamilton County with the experience he has gained working there.

He is an honest man, a family man, and a church-abiding man. He is approachable and has great integrity.

Please vote for the best candidate who will meet the needs required in this important role as Assessor of Property.
