February Events At The Granfalloon Includes Lumbar 5

Here is the February music calendar and reviews for the Granfalloon at 400 East Main St.:  

Open Air:
Every Monday night join Jessica Nunn of Soul Mechanic as she hosts Open Air: An instrumentalist Open Mic night for classical and experimental musicians who are invited to jam at the end.  Each performer gets six minutes to share what they have been working on and then collaborate while enjoying dinner, fellowship and drinks. It is open and free to the public and all ages and skill levels are encouraged to perform. 
7 p.m. every Monday night. 

Lumbar 5
Thursday, Feb. 18, 7 p.m. for an early and all ages show
$5 cover at the door
Food will be available from Virginia’s Gourmet by Design along with adult beverages.  Lumbar Five features Kathy Veazey, one of the best singers anywhere, anytime. She also writes great songs, and has a band that brings those songs to life and makes you want to dance.  She and guitarist John Rawlston, bassist Nick Honerkamp and drummers Jo Whitaker and Kofi Mawuko are the Lumbar Five. 

Latin Shake with Carlos Colon
Friday, Feb. 19, 10 p.m. 
$5 cover at the door
18 and up
Join us for Latin Fusion from Carlos Colon as he plays Latin Club and Hip Hop with a taste of traditional flair. He will give a group salsa lesson to start the night at 10 p.m. so be there early and bring your dancing shoes. Drinks available. 

Party Like is it 1999 Vol 2:
Saturday, Feb. 20, 10 p.m.
18 and Up
$5 cover at the door
Giving a safe, grown and fun dance environment for millennials and beyond who have a love for Hip Hop/Rock/Pop of the 90’s and Early 2000’s. DJ Cutlass Cult keeps the hits going and the guilty pleasure songs that we know and love. 

The Loop plays The Granfalloon:
Thursday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m. 
All ages, $5 at the door
The Loop are members of the beloved local British Rock cover band The Pool. This segment of their members plays acoustic versions of our favorite hits from the 60’s-90’s. This will be another early and all ages show with dinner available from Virginia’s Gourmet by Design.
