Clifford Norton
Clifford Norton, 98, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, February 12, 2016.
A native of Ball Ground, GA, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 91 years. He was a member of the Westview Baptist Church and was retired from the 3M Company.
He was the son of the late Sam and Alice Norton and was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Henry Norton and his second wife, Anita Byers Norton; daughter, Lillian Norton Chambers; sister, Paris Norman and a brother, Harrison Norton.
Survivors include his daughter, Margaret (Wayne) Hayes, Ooltewah; son, Johnny (Shanda) Norton, Cleveland, TN; seven grandchildren, Debra (Grady) Jenkins, Sandra (Tom) Collins, Ronnie Norton, Bartlee (Deborah) Norton, Jerry (Connie) Chambers, Jr., Terry (Cyndi) Chambers, Greg (Kim) Shaw; sister, Reba (Junior) Dill, Chattanooga, and son-in-law, Jerry Chambers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in the Valley View Chapel with Ken Pitts and Bartlee Norton officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, from noon until the time of service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
