Willie Mae "Billie" Hunsucker
Willie Mae “Billie” Hunsucker, 93, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, peacefully died on Saturday morning, February 13, 2016.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler England; brother, E.J. England; sister Mattie Carson; niece, Kathy Cason and nephew, Mike Morris.
Billie, as she was lovingly known, worked for the Miller Brothers Department store for many years and ended her career with retirement form Belk Department Store.
Billie was faithful to her church, Grace Church of the Nazarene, for over 40 years, often visiting after moving from Hixson to East Ridge. She also attended East Ridge Church of the Nazarene.
Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Family closeness was a passion of hers. She loved having everyone over to visit, eat and enjoy each others company.
Billie leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 55 years, Edward Hunsucker; children, Joe (Jodi) Crowley, Sandra Stoffle, Sherry Tucker and Ed (Glenn Beavers) Harding. She also leaves behind three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Edward (Lavonia) England, and one sister, Thelma (Jessie) Morris; several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her furbaby Khandi.
Close friends, neighbors and church family will serve as pallbearers.
A special thanks to Vicki Ling, RN, and the other staff of Hospice of Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, in the funeral home chapel.
Interment to follow to Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
