Author Janie Watts will speak on her book “Return to Taylor’s Crossing” in a program at Dalton State.
Janie Watts, a first place winning writer, will speak on her newest novel ‘Return to Taylor’s Crossing’ Wednesday, February 24 at 6 p.m. at the Derrell C. Roberts Library at Dalton State College. The program is free and open to the public.
Ms. Watts says it was her curiosity about most everything led to a writing career. Her first novel, ‘Moon over Taylor’s Ridge,’ is a book club favorite. Her second novel, ‘Return to Taylor’s Crossing,’ won the first place in the 2015 Knoxville Writers’ Guild Novel Competition. She was also named a semi-finalist in the Faulkner Writing Competition and her novel has been nominated for a Georgia Author of the Year Award and the Augusta Literary Festival’s Frank Yerby Novel Competition.
