Emission Testing Centers Temporarily Unable To Transmit Test Results

  • Monday, February 22, 2016

State vehicle emission testing centers are temporarily unable to transmit test results to County Clerk offices due to technical difficulties.

Hamilton County Clerk Bill Knowles said, “This has interrupted online tag renewal options, however we are informed that the State Air Pollution Vendor has been working throughout the week-end to resolve the issue.

“Tennessee counties under the State Air Pollution requirement are able to process registration renewals when registrants visit a tag office with the original compliance certificate.

Motorists whose expiration dates permit may consider trying the site later.

“Additional information may be obtained by phoning the state office at 877 477-0800.”
