2 Condemned Homes Burn On East Brainerd Road Tuesday Night

Two condemned homes burned Tuesday night on East Brainerd Road.

At 11 p.m., a motorist driving on East Brainerd Road called 911 reporting two homes on fire at the 9300 block of East Brainerd Road.

The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported two condemned homes that were involved. Fire officials reported the two homes were condemned and had been relocated to support the widening of East Brainerd Road. The Tri-Community VFD requested a Mutual Aid response for additional manpower. The East Ridge Fire Department, Highway 58 VFD and Catoosa Fire Department responded to Tri-Community’s district.

No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS was at the scene for potential injuries to the firefighters.

The cause of the fire will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
