Vernon Wayne Jones, 68, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016.
He was a veteran of the US Army, and had been employed by TVA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Jones; and sister, Patricia Rector.
Wayne is survived by his parents, Mack V. “Jonesy” and Elsie Billingsley Jones; son, Burgess Wayne Perry; brother, Lavoy Jones; sister, Dreda Pittman; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. CST on Monday, Feb. 8 and Tuesday, Feb. 9.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. CST, Wednesday, Feb. 10, with Bro. Frank Young and Bro. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Caroline’s Chapel Cemetery.
