Jean Ellis
Jean Ray Ellis, 84, of Signal Mountain, died on Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home.
She was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Chattanooga to the late Ray Lester Ray and Maggie Jewell Jackson Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. David Ellis. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a volunteer with Memorial Hospital Northpark for 10 years. Mrs. Ellis loved to go shopping and to bowl.
Survivors include her sons, Mike and Rick Ellis; daughter-in-law, Ginger Ellis; grandsons, Michael (Stacy) Ellis, Hunter Ellis, and Nick Ellis; great-grandson, Will Ellis; sister, Judy (Wayne) Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
