Hamilton, Bradley Schools To Have 2-Hour Delay Wednesday; UTC To Open At 10; Other Closings And Delays

Hamilton County, Cleveland Schools and Bradley County Schools will have two-hour delays on Wednesday morning due to the threat of icy road conditions.

UTC will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Classes begin and offices open at 10 a.m.

Chattanooga Christian School will have a two-hour delay, beginning at 10 a.m.

Catoosa County and  Murray County  have a two-hour weather delay for students and staff before school on Wednesday.

Closed Wednesday will be Bledsoe County, Grundy County, Marion County, McMinn County, Monroe County, Polk County, Richard Hardy School, Sequatchie County Schools,  Walker County Schools, and Whitfield County Schools.

Due to expected icy conditions Tuesday evening, the concert at Heritage House featuring the Chattanooga Songwriters Association members  Luke Simmons, Blake Baggot, Kimi Carter and Katrina Barklay will be cancelled for tonight and rescheduled  for next Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Amy Elkins, Spring 2016 Diane Marek Series Artist's Lecture, that had been planned at the Cress Gallery at UTC on Tuesday night, will move to another evening this week.

County Commissioner Tim Boyd said his public meeting about the Hamilton County Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA) was still on at 6:30 p.m. at the East Ridge Community Center by East Ridge City Hall.
