The Lee University Chamber Strings will present a concert on Friday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

The concert, “Lee’s Got Talent,” will showcase works from Beethoven to Broadway. The group will also perform an accordion piece, “Beer Barrel Polka;” a saxophone piece, “Summertime;” a marimba piece, and some Chinese folk music performed on a Guqin, which is a special Chinese instrument.

Thirteen-year-old Hanchi Shi, a violinist from the Juilliard School, will join the Chamber Strings on Beethoven’s triple concerto.

Chamber Strings, directed by associate professor of violin Xiaoqing Yu, is a dynamic ensemble composed of the university’s finest violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists, presenting diverse performances both on and off campus.

The concert is free of charge and open to the public. All are invited to a reception immediately following the concert. Pangle Hall is located on the corner of Central and Church streets in downtown Cleveland.  For more information, contact the Lee University School of Music at 614-8240.
