Man, 22, Shot And Killed Outside Club On Lee Highway Early Sunday Morning

A man was shot and killed outside a club on Lee Highway early Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as Robert Jackson III, 22.

While conducting routine patrol activities at 2:35 a.m., a Chattanooga Police officer heard gunfire in the 5700 block of Lee Highway. Further investigation revealed an individual lying in the parking lot of Sky Zoo with a fatal gunshot wound.

Chattanooga Police secured the area, started first aid, and initiated an investigation.

Hamilton County EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

Police said the victim and suspect got into an argument inside the club, and Jackson was followed outside.

Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes Bureau investigators responded and are following all leads.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone who was at Sky Zoo during this time or anyone with information regarding the crime to call 423-698-5129
