Two people, including a pregnant woman, were shot at College Hill Courts on Tuesday morning as a rampage of gang violence continued in Chattanooga.
Then on Tuesday afternoon, multiple shots were fired from a vehicle at a man in his yard on Biltmore Drive, which is off Rogers Road. The man was taken by ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
Shortly before midnight, a man was shot in the hand on E. Third Street.
Chattanooga Police responded at 10:21 a.m. to the 1200 block of Grove Street on the report of a person shot. There police located a single victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
While responding to and investigating the circumstances of this shooting, police were informed of a second victim who arrived by personal vehicle at Erlanger Hospital.
The suspect, who was on foot, open fired at the two victims who were also on foot.
A 26-year-old woman fled toward a nearby market after sustaining a gunshot wound.
A man, 27, got in a vehicle and drove himself to Erlanger after sustaining a gunshot wound.
The suspect is described as being a black male.
In the second shooting, Chattanooga Police responded to the 700 block of Biltmore Drive on the report of a shooting. There police located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The suspects are described as 3-4 black males in a burgundy compact sedan.
Police said multiple suspects fired multiple rounds from the vehicle, striking the victim in the yard of a residence. The victim was treated on the scene and transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
The victim, 20-year-old Jackie M. Sawyer, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
In the third shooting at 11:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 2500 block of E 3rd St. on the report of a shooting. There police locate one victim suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim, 22-year-old Diaz Darden,was in the back yard of a house in the 2500 block of E 3rd St. when he heard gunshots.
He stepped back into the house and realized he had been hit in the hand.
He was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS for treatment.
This case has been cleared by arrest. Averoyan Sandbridge, 27, is at the Hamilton County Jail on the following charges: attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, domestic aggravated assault, and felony reckless endangerment warrants.
