Erlanger Health System officials on Monday announced a $1.47 million profit for the quarter, while reporting significant growth in the market share.
Britt Tabor, finance director, said Erlanger's market share is approaching 36 percent.
He said, "Just in Hamilton County, it is close to 38 percent. The gap between us and the next person in the market is just huge."
Erlanger officials shared concerns for the upcoming fiscal year, including the continuing fallout for hospitals from the Affordable Health Act as well as managing a large volume of growth.
The projects underway include the massive installation of the EPIC medical records system as well as construction of new surgery units at the main campus and a new wing at the Gunbarrel Road site.
Net income from operations for the year stands at almost $14 million.
Admissions continue to rise and are up 8.4 percent over last year.
Hospital admissions are closing in on 40k,000 per year - up from just under 29,000 in 2013.
There is also continual growth in the emergency room, which is undergoing a major upgrading.
