Ruth Z. Williams Hall, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the family residence.
She was a member of Victory Street Church of God and was passionate about playing piano. She played for various churches and groups throughout the years. She was a woman of faith and a prayer warrior. Her passion and love of her life was her family. She was a retired school teacher after serving 31 years in the Bradley County School system and was also listed in the Who’s Who of American School Teachers. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a USAF Gold Star Mother.
Mrs. Hall was the daughter of the late Dr. Claude “CR” Woodard and Martha Widener Woodard; and was also preceded in death by her two sons, Ronald Falke and Jerry Falke; siblings, Eugene Woodard, Loranzo Woodard, Wayne Woodard and Mildred Lowery.
She is survived by her husband, Col. H. Robert Hall of Cleveland; four children, Brenda Hall and husband, Tony of VA, Bertie Cranfield, Paul Falke and wife, Rhonda and Barbara Mitchell and husband, Kevin, all of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, T.J. Hall, Kelly Baker, Jennifer Thompson, John Owen, Eric Falke, Brittany Lowe, Bethany Wesley, Brynn Stansberry and Madison Stansberry; 20 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Harvey Woodard of Pensacola, FL and Kenneth Woodard of Montgomery, AL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. A private entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
