Russell Wait Lloyd, Sr. 75, of Chattanooga and most recently Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Life Care of Cleveland, after a long illness.

Mr. Lloyd was well known in Chattanooga for over 40 years as owner and operator of MPL Construction Company and as a co-founder of Cornerstone Community Bank.  He was also an avid supporter of his alma mater at Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tn.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Belinda Carter Lloyd; daughters, Laura Boyd and Lisa (Devan) Norman; son, Russell W. Lloyd, Jr; grandchildren, Mackenzie Norman, Brianna Norman and Rachel Boyd; mother-in-law, Ruby N. Carter, Ewing, VA; sister, Margaret (George) Bradley, Greenville, TN; cousins, Robert (Jane) Wait, Ashland, VA and Sarah (David) Mabry, Oxford, OH.

The family will have a private service.
