Tina N. Cox, 54, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
She was a life-long resident of Walker County and was a graduate of LaFayette High School. After graduating, she served our country by joining the U.S. Army. As an active soldier, she became a mail carrier. Upon leaving active duty, she returned to LaFayette where she continued to serve her country by becoming an Army reservist. Tina, having been trained as a mail carrier in the military, pursed the same occupation as a mail carrier in her hometown of LaFayette for 22 years.
Tina is survived by daughter, Hannah Cox; sons, A.J. Cox, Brandon Nicholson and Alric Adams; brother, Berry Jerry Ward; one grandchild, Scarlett Karson Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. with her nephew, Justin Ragsdale officiating. Interment in the LaFayette City Cemetery. Pallbearers are A.J. Cox, Brandon Nicholson, Alric Adams, Spencer White, Tanner Welchel and Trent Welchel.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 30 from 6-9 p.m.
