Danita McReynolds
Danita Joy McReynolds, 55, died on April 28, 2016 in a local hospital.
She attended school in the Chattanooga School System. Danita was employed as a cook at Herman’s Soul Food for 30 years until she became ill.
She was of Baptist faith, but had recently started attending New Life SDA Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn McClendon McClain; brother, Anthony McClendon.
Survivors include her sons, Alonzo (Marianne) McClendon, of California; Edward (Stacey) McClendon and Antonio (Jessica) McReynolds, both of Chattanooga; father, Joe McClendon, Sr.; grandchildren, Edward, Jamez, Jamon, Tyne’sha, Jaquis, Antonio Jr. and Aden; siblings, John McClendon, Jr., Karen (Joe) Winters, Cotrina, Jolene and Loretta McClendon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special family friend, Jeanette McClendon; sister from another mother, Dora Saxton and Rose Mae Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, in the chapel. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, May 6, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
