Chattanooga State Offers Summer Camps June 6-July 29

  • Friday, April 29, 2016

Chattanooga State’s Continuing Education Department offers summer camps beginning the week of June 6 and ending July 29. Each camp is one week in length.

Several years ago, Chattanooga State developed a top-notch summer camp program just for kids. It has become so popular, that the number and types of classes have exploded. Children’s individual interests vary greatly and Chattanooga State has responded with classes to address those interests.

LEGO Robotic camps are offered weekly throughout the entire summer. This year, LEGO Advanced Robotics will feature new EV3 kits. In addition to camps on the main campus, LEGO camps are offered at the Chattanooga State Dayton and Kimball sites. Sequatchie Valley residents should watch for a LEGO camp in their area soon.

For kids interested in computers, the choices are plentiful. Camp choices include Game Programming, Web Page Design, 3D Animation, AutoCAD/3D Printing, Graphic Design, or Robotics.

New camps this year include Art, Sewing, and Musical Theatre that will allow children to grow their artistic talents, and have fun at the same time!

Most camps meet on the main campus, located at 4501 Amnicola Highway. Camps are offered weekly from 12:30-5 p.m. Prices range from $120 to $150 per camp.
