Heisman Trophy Winner Ty Detmer To Speak In Chattanooga April 12

The Chattanooga Chapter of the Brigham Young Alumni Association will be holding a special Fireside Chat with Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer. Mr. Detmer is in Chattanooga to help raise funds for the BYU alumni association at its annual golf tournament being held at Windstone Golf Club.

Officials said, "Anyone who has ever wondered what it takes to win a Heisman Trophy is invited to learn about Ty Detmer and his devotion to the sport of football. Ty has had a legendary career playing professional ball for teams like the Green Bay Packers, San Fransisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions. Brett Favre was his teammate on the Packers.

The event will be held on April 12 at 7 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3067 Ooltewah Ringgold Road. The general public is welcome.
