Shawn Russell
Shawn Jeremy Russell, 36, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
Shawn was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a 1998 graduate of Red Bank High School. Shawn served our country in the United States Army, serving two tours in Iraq and held memberships with the VFW Post 1289 and DAV. He was a journeyman electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 175. Shawn attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mylola and Millard “Mike” Spivey; grandmother, Beatrice Shaw; grandfather, Everett G. Russell; four aunts.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Robin (Mark) Gaynor; father, Tim (Carolyn) Russell; children, Kaela, Shawn Logan, Savannah and Kyndin Russell; brother, Timothy Shane Russell; grandfather, Cleve (Peggy) Shaw; girlfriend, Norrisha Brown, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. on Sunday, at the North Chapel with Reverend Stan Combs officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
