All local legislators, except for Gerald McCormick, and all County School Board members who are up for re-election this year will face opposition.
The deadline to qualify was noon on Thursday.
Ethan White, a member of the Collegedale Commission, was a late entrant against House District 29 Rep. Mike Carter.
Dennis Clark is running against District 28 Rep. JoAnne Favors.
District 30 Rep. Marc Gravitt is opposed by Democrat Katie Cowley and Independent Patrick Hickey.
House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick has no opposition.
Steve Gordon, Democrat, is going against House District 27 Rep. Patsy Hazlewood.
Three Democrats are in the race for the District 10 Senate seat held by Republican Todd Gardenhire. They are Ty O'Grady, Khristy Wilkinson and Nick Wilkinson.
Jason Moses and Patti Skates are running for the District 1 school board seat long held by Rhonda Thurman.
Chairman Jonathan Welch in District 4 is opposed by Kathy Lennon.
Incumbent George Ricks in School Board District 4 will face Montrell Beasley, Tiffanie Robinson and Annette Thompson.
Donna Horn of District 7 has opposition from Joe Wingate.
