To better equip folks in effectively preparing for their own mortality, St. Luke UMC and Hospice of Chattanooga will offer a five-week, hour-long free seminar series beginning Sunday, April 17, at 11:30 a.m. and tackling the practical issues around death and dying. Area professionals will be answering all the questions one has on death and dying, but are afraid to ask.
Each week will be a different topic:
4/17--Navigating the Health Care System: Patient's Rights, and Advance Directives.
4/24--Hospice and Grief Support.
5/1--Funeral Preparedness 101.
5/8-- Music's Clinical Benefits in Death and Dying.
5/15--Estate Planning: Living Wills, Trusts, and Power of Attorney.
Bring your questions. Find the answers you seek. A notary public will be available to notarize legal forms on April 17 and May 15. Childcare will be provided.
