Rescuers helped a man back up after he fell 30 feet on a Signal Mountain bluff on Saturday night.
However, he was not seriously injured.
At 11 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting the fall. Walden's Ridge Emergency Services responded to 1425 East Brow Road.
When rescue personnel arrived on the scene, they reported a 25-year-old male had fallen 30 feet off the side of Signal Mountain and requested mutual aid from Signal Mountain Fire Department for additional rescue personnel.
According to Walden's Ridge Emergency Services Chief Jimmy Hillis, a man and his girlfriend were traveling up East Brow Road and stopped on the side of the road to enjoy the beautiful overlook. While admiring the beautiful scenery, the man slipped and fell.
Rescue personnel brought him up within 45 minutes. He was treated on the scene by Hamilton County EMS personnel.
He said the heavy piles of leaves and brush cushioned his fall and that he did not need to go to the hospital. He denied transport by ambulance, but called 911 needing assistance getting back up to safety.
