  • Sunday, May 1, 2016
Don Palmer, known as “The Chattanooga Street Kid,” will be in Chattanooga to autograph his new autobiographical book, “Driven By The Passion To Own Race Horses.”

He will sign copies of the book on Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Read House.

All proceeds go to Chattanooga's Room in the Inn.

Mr. Palmer's first book, “Memories of a Chattanooga Street Kid,” became a regional best seller in Tennessee. His new book reveals a part of his life, only touched on lightly in his first book.

The longtime California resident said he hopes to renew acquaintances with a lot of the readers of his first book and sign copies of his new one for them.

His publicist said, "If you enjoyed his first and second books, you will enjoy the story of how the passion to own race horses impacted his career choices and his life."
