  • Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Rico Weaver was sentenced Monday by Federal Judge Sandy Mattice to serve 20 months in federal prison.

A Chattanooga Police officer arrested Weaver on May 7, 2015, on warrants from Georgia for felony assault and probation violations from Hamilton County.

The officer found a loaded firearm in Weaver's pocket.

He had pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

James Lee Curry, whose vehicle was stopped in Chattanooga while he was making a drug trip, was sentenced to 87 months.

A trooper on Nov. 13, 2014, stopped Peck for driving his GMC Yukon too closely behind a semi-truck.

During a search of the Yukon, 125 grams of meth were found under the hood of the engine compartment. Also, $1,360 in cash was seized from Curry.

He admitted that he had just gone to Georgia to pick up the meth, and he planned to distribute it in Kentucky.

Reginald Peck was given five years probation by Judge Mattice.

Last June 3, Peck was in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic infraction in Chattanooga.

During a pat-down it was found that he had a loaded handgun in his waistband.

Peck is a convicted felon.
