The Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy students, faculty and staff will join the HUTTON Company on Friday in breaking ground on the school’s newest renovation project.
Thanks to the generosity of CEO Karen J. Hutton and architect Rice Williams of Artech design firm, CGLA’s outdated athletic facility will get a major remodel to bring it into code compliance.
The renovation will include bleachers, an HVAC system, a roof, and additional restrooms.
In addition to the support of HUTTON, the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, the Weldon F. Osborne Foundation and BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee Health Foundation (THF) have made financial contributions to this project.
The renovation of the CGLA gymnasium is only part of a significant grant received by THF to create an expansive Health and Wellness program for CGLA students, faculty, parents, and the larger neighboring community. The CGLA gym will serve as the hub for this program.
