The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office believes two men involved in burglaries at a Waterlevel Highway business have been identified.
Sheriff Eric Watson said charges have been filed relative to the theft of a power saw from a vehicle that was parked at the business last Friday.
Several hours later, patrol deputies, while conducting a check of the business, found evidence of a second entry onto the property. Checking further they found another tool had been stolen and a power generator was moved to a different location.
Through the work of detectives assisted by patrol deputies, Benjamin Andrew Nelson, 28, of 14th Street, and Dustin Ryan Duggan, 32, of 6th Street, were developed as suspects in the thefts.
Detectives have charged Nelson with two counts of burglary and one count of theft over $500. Duggan, who was implicated only in the second theft, faces one count each of burglary and theft under $500.
Both are in custody at the Bradley County jail at this time. Duggan’s bond has been set at $5,000, and Nelson’s bond is $15,000. They are to be back in court on Tuesday.
