Youth, 18, Hit When Rival Groups Fire At One Another

An 18-year-old was shot in the leg while walking to the store on Saturday night.

Chattanooga Police were advised at 8:40 p.m. that a person suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle.

Cordelius Birdsong said he had been shot when the occupants of a black Impala began arguing with the occupants of a blue Honda resulting in shots being fired.

Chattanooga Police attempted, but were unable to locate a crime scene.

Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes investigators continue to follow all actionable leads.
