New presidents for Girls Preparatory School's three councils were elected after a flurry of electioneering, sign-making and speeches to their peers. Chosen by a schoolwide vote to lead the school in the 2016-17 school year were Phoebe Warren, president of the Honor Council; Iman Ali, president of the Student Council; and Mimi Vance, president of Partnership in Community.

The three young women and their councils will continue traditions of honor, representative government and community service and leadership within the Chattanooga community.  By virtue of the elections and GPS tradition, they will also be the first three seniors to deliver their chapel talks during the opening weeks of school in August.
