Chattanooga Fire Captain Kelvin Strickland On Leave Without Pay Following Arrest

The Chattanooga Fire Department has placed a captain on leave without pay following his arrest Tuesday night.

Chattanooga police officers arrested Captain Kelvin Strickland shortly before 9 p.m. and charged him with domestic assault.

Upon being notified of the arrest, Fire Chief Chris Adams placed Captain Strickland on leave without pay, and his employment status will remain that way until his case is resolved in court.

Captain Strickland has been with the department for 17 years and was assigned to the training division.
