Graduation For Firefighter's Training To Be Held Thursday

Hamilton County Emergency Services Training Division will hold a graduation ceremony for firefighters who have completed 360 hours of Firefighter I Course on Thursday at 7 p.m. at The Middle Valley Church of God, 1703 Thrasher Pike.

Fifteen fire cadets from Firefighter I class will graduate representing several agencies including Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Kurtz Fire Department, Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services, Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department, Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department, and Soddy Daisy Fire Department.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Daughettee will present the Shane Daughettee Award to one of the firefighter graduates that will selected by their instructors. Since Firefighter Shane Daughettee’s death, this award is given to a fire graduate who demonstrates great leadership, attitude and dedication.
