Brainerd High School Alumni Association Announces 2016 Scholarship Recipients

In 2008, the Brainerd High School Alumni Association (BHSAA) established a scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to deserving graduating Brainerd High School Seniors.  To date, we have awarded thirty-one (40) scholarships for a total amount of $40,000.  Below are the 2016 BHSAA Scholarship Recipients:

1.       Micah Darden

2.      Charmichael Jefferson

3.      Kardarius Scott

4.      Aaliyah Portis

5.      Christian Sinclair

6.      Isaiah Smith (Received appointed to attend Air Force Academy’s Prep School)

In 2015, Brainerd High School started an Evening School to help improve graduation rates.   BHSAA wants to continue to provide support to Evening School students who want to attend college or Trade/Technical school to continue their education.  Therefore, this year, we awarded our Inaguaral BHSAA-BHS WAAY Scholarships ($500 each).  Below are the 2016 BHSAA- BHS WAAY Scholarship Reciepients:

BHS Alums, who would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please make your check payable to the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, Inc. and in the memo section of your check place BHS Alumni Association Scholarship Fund and remit to the address below:

The Annual BHSAA Alumni Weekend will be held June 24-26.  Proceeds from the events held will benefit the BHSAA Scholarship Fund and other BHS funding priorities.
