As a past victim of domestic violence, I am acutely aware of how serious this problem is. I am sorry that the Stone family has to have their personal drama played out to the world at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 every evening.
While the public is being entertained by the drama of all this, the real problems in this city are not getting the attention they deserve. The shootings continue and the bodies are piling up and all we hear on the news is the Mayor may or may not have said or done something inappropriate. Or the Police Chief should have done this or that.
It is time to refocus on the fact that I can’t walk down my street without fear of being hurt. It is time to put the time and resources being spent on Mr. and Mrs. Stone and their marital problems back on the issues which affect our neighborhoods.

I thought that Chief Fletcher said that the case involving the mayor's assistant was going to be handled like any other d.v. case. Is it usual to call in the TBI in d.v. cases? I doubt it. Seems like a waste of resources to me.

Who cares about what may or may not have happened ? I dare say that if this involved a Police Officer instead of a Mayor, you couldn't get enough of it.
If this plays out to be true, did this tryst occur while on City time ?
How many police officers have been fired because they chose to have a moment of indiscretion while on the clock ?
Let's just see how this plays out.
