The Lookouts drew six walks, but only managed four hits in their 5-1 loss to the Tennessee Smokies Sunday in front of a crowd of 5,356 fans at AT&T Field.
Chattanooga's loss drops them to 22-28 through 50 games in the Southern League North Division.
Tennessee starting pitcher Brad Markey was lights out early for the Smokies, carrying a no-hitter into the fifth inning.
The starter finished the night surrendering two hits and one run on his way to his fifth win of the season.
Markey's performance was backed up by enough offense as BJ Rademacher and Cael Brockmeyer each smacked solo homers off of Omar Bencomo.
Bencomo allowed three runs on the night, but still recorded a quality start of six innings with only one walk and a strikeout. The 27-year old suffered his third loss of 2016.
In the seventh Mike Strong relieved Bencomo and pitched a scoreless inning. Luke Bard entered the game after that and gave up two runs in two innings.
Chattanooga's only run of the day came in the fifth inning on a Ryan Walker RBI single. Walker is now hitting .339 on the season and has seven hits in his last 15 at-bats.
Despite the night's loss the Lookouts come away with their fourth series win of the season after winning three of the first four games.
After an off-day tomorrow the team embarks on a five-game road trip against the Birmingham Barons.
