Prince, Kirksey Daniel "K.D." (Rising Fawn)

Kirksey Daniel “K.D." Prince, 76, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, died on Monday evening, May 2, 2016.

He was proud owner of Prince Grocery for over 36 years, serving the Davis Community and surrounding areas. Mr. Prince loved and enjoyed picking bluegrass music, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family; he was of the Baptist faith and a member of Northeast Alabama Cherokee Tribe, and a former member of Cole City Bluegrass.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Bonnie Hurst Prince; and siblings, Leo Smith, Delores Coleman, Helen Russell, Charlsie Breedlove, J B Prince, Chester Prince and Jack Prince.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jeanette Prince of Rising Fawn, GA; children, Kirk (Melanie) Prince, Tim Prince, Jamie (Kristy) Prince and Dawn (Scott) Tittsworth all of Rising Fawn, GA; grandchildren, Kirk (Lindsey) Prince Jr., Brandi Prince Stevens; Cole Prince, T.J. (Ashley) Prince, Ethan Prince, Kaylee Tittsworth and Jake Tittsworth; great-grandchildren, Allison Stevens and Derek Prince; sisters, Brenda Slay and Lessie Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, in the Chapel of Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Wooten and Keith Stanford officiating. Interment will follow in Shantytown Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 12-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 and 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday, May 5 at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
